A Look at Foreign Objects: Ladders

Given that today is September 1st, the first day of Ladder Match Month here at WWE Geek, I thought it would be an appropriate time to publish this article.

Alright... Here we go.

The Ladder Match, is quite possibly one of the best gimmick matches ever created in professional wrestling.

Jeff Hardy (see picture) is probably most famous for competing in these types of matches. At Money in the Bank 2007, he stole the show. After Randy Orton pushed a ladder with Edge on it over. Edge fell at ringside. Jeff then took care of Randy Orton in the ring. His brother Matt put Edge on the ladder. Jeff Hardy could have won the match, but instead he made the highlight reel. He positioned the ladder, climbed 20 feet in the air, and jumped on Edge. Here's the video.

A Look at Foreign Objects: Hornswoggle

That's right! Hornswoggle is a foreign object!

He is billed at 3' 11" and 119 pounds.

He is the current Cruiserweight Champion of the world. He won this title by winning a Cruiserweight open, a match he spent the majority of the time under the ring for.

He is the youngest Cruiserweight champion ever, 21 years and 51 days. He is also the smallest person ever to win a WWE championship, and also the first "little person".

Hornswoggle however, is probably best known as the leprechan who is always coming out from under the ring, and pouncing on Finlay's opponents. He is also known as the "Little Bastard".

A Look at Foreign Objects: Barbwire

Hey everyone! This is the first entry in a new series I am starting called "A Look at Foreign Objects". I don't know how long it will last, or if I will even post every day. What I'm thinking is that I could just write about it every so often. That sounds good.

But now back to the wire.

Whenever barbwire is involved in a wrestling match. You can expect blood. Always. It maybe be Mick Foley swinging his barbwire covered 2 by 4 at somebody. Or it could be Mick Foley swinging a barbwire 2 by 4 at someone after he has lit it on fire.

There is also a match dedicated to this weapon. The most memorable of all these matches would have to be Terry Funk vs. Sabu. I was surfing YouTube, and I couldn't find the match. But I did end up finding a video of the highlights from that match. So you can see that below. A very bloody match. Amazing too.
