Do You Like Carlito's Haircut?

New Poll. Vote over here on the right.

RAW Thoughts

So things are looking up.. eh? Who is Mr. McMahon's Child Part 3 is coming soon. When I wrote part 2 I was unaware of the hint.

But yea, RAW was very good, it will probably be the last good RAW in about 30 days. Maybe. Maybe not. We will see.

Anyways, Carlito got a new haircut. Ha! Everyone please, take a moment to laugh with me.

Jeff Hardy vs Umaga was a good match with a really weird ending. Did Jeff really get the 3 count by knocking Umaga off the top rope? I mean, later that night Triple H hit Umaga with a chair 3 times and he didn't fall over. I have no clue what is going on here.

Santino Marella I like as a heel. But he has to win some matches. Hopefully he will beat Ron Simmons. If he doesn't then he is just pointless.

Beth Phoenix shouldn't be allowed on the Mic. Just saying.

Both the Tag Matches were good. That being London and Kendrick vs Haas and Rodman, and Mickie James and Cody Rhodes vs Jillian and Davari (if I have the spelling right). Especially the 2nd one. Mickie James and Cody Rhodes work well together.

Triple H's match was fun, but shouldn't have been called a main event. You know, you could have had a checklist of all the guys who are going to be suspended, and one by one, they took them all out.

Regal was taken out by Cena. Umaga by Triple H. Santino by The Sandman. One by One. King Booker just wasn't there. I don't think anyone missed him.

So yes, those are my thoughts. I am enjoying this whole Mr. McMahon's child storyline more then I thought I would. So this is fun.

Since the WWE has been claiming rights on all the videos being posted on YouTube, I went elsewhere.

My RAW Thoughts/Carlito's Cabana Video

Sorry Everyone, I couldn't get to a computer until just now. Here we go.

Best Match: Hardy vs Kennedy
Worst Match: Womens Match (Although it's technically not a match)
Best Non-Wrestling Moment: Carlito's Cabana
Rating (out of 8): 7.90345

The Good

  1. Opening Segment

Orton going from Ice Man to Crazed Man was just great. Also the crowed seemed really loud. Cena did a good job working the microphone. Is Regal going full blown heel though? Usually he just does things to make them more interesting, but this was weird. He seemed to be doing things to get back at Cena.
  2. Hardy vs Kennedy

I wasn't expecting Hardy for another week, so this was a fun surprise. This was also a good match that the crowd really got into.
  3. Carlito's Cabana

A little long, but still awesome. Triple H and Jeff Hardy both returned, and what a difference it made. Wow!
  4. Tag Team Match

Good match. Shelton Benjamin now reminds me of Dennis Rodman, but that shouldn't bother me too much.
  5. The Main Event

The twist ending was the best part. I really was expecting Orton to kick Cena's head off, but this was so much better. Instead, he pulled Cena's dad out of the crowd (they were in Boston by the way), and kicked him in the head. VERY UNEXPECTED. But now do I have to cheer for Cena?
The Bad
  1. Lack of matches

Well, if you were keeping track. Umaga interfered in Kennedy vs Hardy, The Womens match technically never started, and Orton interfered with the main event. The only match with a decisive finish was Rhodes, London, and Kendrick vs Daivari, Haas, and Rodman.
  2. Womens "Match"

What's the point? What does Beth Phoenix prove by beating up Maria?
PLUS!!!!

This is Carlito's Cabana after The Game arrived.

RAW Thoughts

Best Match: Carlito vs. Mr. Kennedy
Worst Match: John Cena vs. Snitsky
Best Non-Wrestling Moment: Carlito's Cabana
Rating (out of 8): 7.109

The Good

  1. Opening Segment

Great opening segment. It showed the clip from Saturday Night's Main Event where Randy Orton RKO'd John Cena through the chair. An awesome moment. The crowd didn't get behind Orton though like they had recently. He did however get a pop when mentioning historical events in wrestling such as the Montreal Screwjob. They should continue to do this.

Even with the opening segment being very good, John Cena is still very dull. Also, is the illegitimate child angle turning Shane McMahon into a face? It seemed like it tonight.
  2. Taz and JR teaming up.
  3. Melina and Beth Pheonix vs. Candice Michelle and Mickie James

This was probably the best womens match in a long time. It was short, but sweet. I would like to point out 3 things though. 1, Candice Michelle's music is now techno. 2, Mickie James was sporting a (completely) different new look. 3, Jim Ross made a cheese joke.

In this short but sweet match, Candice Michelle preformed as well as she has in a long time (Could it be because of the Techno?). I was originally disapointed when this match started it looked to be another Team Candice vs Team Melina (they could sell T-Shirts just like Team Aniston vs. Team Jolie), but I was glad to see the ending of this match. Where Mickie James attacked Candice Michelle, and Beth Pheonix attacked Melina. Finally Team Candice and Team Melina, are broken up. (The end of 2 eras?... Nah!)
  4. Cody Rhodes vs Shelton Benjamin

This was much improved from last weeks Cody Rhodes vs. Charlie Haas. Very good.
  5. London and Kendrick vs. Cade and Murdoch

Good tag team match. Interesting ending, but good match. This is a good angle as long as they continue the Cryme Tyme vs. Cade and Murdoch angle, and leave London and Kendrick out of it for the most part.
  6. Maria's Date with Ron Simmons

Although this was pretty much used as transition segments, they did a good job. They served their purpose.
  7. Carlito's Cabana

Good job. They kept it short.
  8. Kennedy vs. Carlito

Great match. Odd ending. A double pin. It was like Shawn Michaels and Randy Orton all over again, only less interesting. Still a very good match though.

The Bad
  1. King Booker's Crowing

This was stupid. Not only the fact that they didn't have Triple H, but the fact that they made Jim Ross kiss King Bookers ring. Stupid as well. That was bad, but I'm still mostly mad about the fact that the WWE thinks it will make sense to have Triple H just jump into the storyline at SummerSlam without appearing in a match.
  2. John Cena vs. Snitsky

Wow.... Um.... Well.... This match was bad. The ending was dumb, and didn't make sense. Still, Snitsky did show improvement.

I think Snitsky is alright as long as he sticks to the high-impact moves, such as the big boots and the close lines. He sucks throwing punches (but so does Cena so I guess it doesn't matter).

8/07 RAW Thoughts

Best Match: Battle Royal.
Worst Match:
Snitsky vs. Rory Highlander (but it did serve the purpose of building up Snitsky... I still don't know why though).
Best Non-Wrestling Moment: The spoof of McMahon's death, and "The WWE Dating Game"
Worst Non-Wrestling Moment: All the speaking errors.
Rating (out of 8): 6.5

Good Things

  1. Mr. McMahon's Return-

Although some "experts" may say that Mr. McMahon return would be a bad thing (and I must say before last night I thought it would be too), but in reality it was a great thing.

I especially liked that they kept Mr. McMahon out of the wrestling part. The only thing wrestling he was involved with was setting the Battle Royal up. But that seemed to mostly be random hatred of Coach... and who doesn't have that.

The illegitimate child thing may be a little much, but it's better then the Lashley vs. McMahons and Umaga angle.

I think a good idea for Mr. McMahon would be that if he wants to be involved in the story that they should have a Mr. and Mrs. McMahon separation and eventual divorce. They could divide the business between themselves. It would be hilarious. As long as it didn't take up too much time from the wrestling.
  2. William Regal becoming GM-

I thought this was great. I had read that this would happen a couple of weeks ago online, just I wasn't sure if it was really going to happen.

Some would argue that The Sandman would have been a better general manager, and no doubt he would have been entertaining. He would have brought a Steve Austin feel to it. Unfortunately, I don't recall The Sandman ever having good microphone skills, and we do know Regal has them. That's why I think this is a good move.
  3. The WWE Dating Game-

I was on Yahoo Answers as I often am, answering questions during RAW, and it seemed everyone online hated The WWE Dating Game. Some saying it was a "new low" for the WWE. I think this is crazy. I loved it. I don't see what there wasn't to love about it. It made great use of puns. Absolutely hilarious.

But I want to say that Santino becoming a heel went really fast. Also, his injury looked fake... even though it was real.
  4. Cena/Umaga vs. Orton/Carlito Set for Next Week

I think this will be a good match, but most importantly it set Umaga up as a face. I think the process of turning Umaga into a face will go smoothly and quickly, and ultimately go well.
Bad Things
    1. Snitsky

It wasn't Snitsky's match I thought was bad. No. It served its purpose. I just think the whole "Snitsky" idea needs to be rethought. Especially if they are going to give him a main event push eventually.

However, if they aren't planning on giving him a main event push, he may be fine. That is, if they just want someone who could have matches as short as 2 minutes long, then he'd be great. Of course, you could also have 2 minute long matches with Cryme Tyme beating up 2 jobbers.
    2. Jillian Hall vs. Mickie James

The whole Jillian Hall singing thing was horrible. It always has been. What could have made it good would have been if Lillian right after Jillian started singing would have hit her in the back of the head with the microphone. Then Mickie James would have come to the ring and taken advantage of it. That would have been great.

Last Minute Raw Preview

Well, it seems like the McMahon death angle will continue tonight. They have a large stage setup behind the arena. Stephanie McMahon might also be used tonight. Of course, she would be there anyways, but there have been rumors about her being involved tonight. Also, expect Mr. Kennedy to get a lot of attention tonight.

Carlito's Cabana is also supposed to happen.

RAW Main Even 7/30, Carlito vs. John Cena (w/ Randy Orton)

I just though I would post this since I found it. It was a great match up until the ending. I don't usually like matches ending with outside interference.
