What to do with Snitsky?

Snitsky is often regarded as the worst wrestler on RAW, and maybe he is. He may even be the worst in the whole WWE. But he does have potential. If you watched the John Cena vs. Snitsky match from RAW last Monday, you probably weren't impressed, but I was. (By the way: if YouTube ever goes out... I'm screwed.)



So what to do with Snitsky. Unlike what many say, not all of Snitsky's moves suck. He is very good at high impact moves, such as closelines, and boots to the face. Last Monday he was throwing punches with John Cena. Why? If I was a 7'0" monster, I wouldn't be focused on throwing punches trying to wear John Cena down. I'd kick him in the face.

So my point? If Snitsky stuck to high impact moves, he may have the in ring ability to pull off a decent feud.

What about his character? Is his character good enough to have a good feud? Sort of. If he got rid of the acne and the yellow teeth I think he'd be better off.

But his characters personality is great. "Their pain is my pleasure." Bravo WWE. Bra-Vo. And, as the old saying goes, you can never have too many psychos.

As a side note though, I don't think he could ever have a feud for any sort of title. As lame as that is, I think that's the way it's going to be. His character seems like he would only be interested in inflicting pain, not going for gold.

My Dream Card for Unforgiven

OK I lied. This isn't really my dream card. That would consist of a Dude Love vs. Cactus Jack vs. Mankind match (my money would be on Mankind). This is just what I'd really like to see.

• For the WWE Championship: Randy Orton (c) vs Triple H vs. Mr. Kennedy
  
  In this Triple H would be a last minute addition. Triple H was added into this match by his former wife (I know they are still married, but on TV they aren't.) who is trying to get back at Mr. McMahon for the illegitimate child/faked death/other things. Mr. Kennedy was put into this match by Mr. McMahon, a gift from a father to his son.
• The Undertaker vs. Mark Henry
  
  It seems like this is going to happen anyways.
• For the World Championship: Rey Mysterio vs Chavo Guerrero vs The Great Khali (c)
  
  In this match I would have Rey Mysterio and Chavo team up against The Great Khali turning Chavo face in the process. The Great Khali could win this, but then Chavo and Rey could spice up the tag team division for a little while. It would be fun. Then again I'm kind of random with what I want to see.
• Finlay vs. Kane in a No DQ Match
  
  The important part is No DQ
• For the ECW Championship: CM Punk vs John Morrison (c) vs The Boogeyman vs Elijah Burke vs Marcus Cor Von in a Ladder Match.
  
  Could be fun. It would be Extreme for a change. Extremer anyways.
  
• For the Intercontinental Championship: Jeff Hardy vs Umaga (c)
  
  Yes, a Great American Bash Re-Match. You know, it's probably against some WWE policy to do this, but they could have use Jeff Hardy's suspension in their favor. We all know that when Jeff Hardy returns to RAW he will be wrestling, or doing something important, every week. So why not play the whole Jeff Hardy suspension like it was an injury. Build him up without pay. Then when he comes back this angle would be easy.
• For the Womens Championship: Mickie James vs every WWE Diva that can fit in the ring in No DQ match.
  
  I just want to see the Divas wrestle like guys for once, instead of having it be watered down.
• There could be some small dark match to warm the crowd up. Maybe Matt Hardy vs Chris Masters or something non-major.

What I think of the Cruiserweight Championship

Before I write this article on the Cruiserweight Championship, please remember a number of things.

What do I think of the Cruiserweight Championship? It should be dropped. Or at least changed. Actually I think changed is the correct answer.

But changed to what? A while ago I posted a list of titles I think the WWE could consider adding. (Speaking of titles, apparently the WWE is going to stop putting names on the titles. Sorry I informed you all of that in middle of another blog post, but I didn't want to make a whole blog post just about this.)

But I was talking about changing the Cruiserweight Campionship, wasn't I? Yes. What do I think it should be changed to? I think it should be the opposite of a Cruiserweight Championship. I think it should be a Super-Heavyweight Championship. If it makes it easier, we could also change the name of the other one from World Heavyweight Championship to just World Championship.

Let's define "Super-Heavyweight" as 275 pounds or more. Often, it is defined as 300 pounds or more, but for this lets just go 275. Lets look at a list of wrestlers who are billed at 275+.

• Batista, 290 lbs, Smackdown!
• Chris Masters, 275 lbs, Smackdown!
• Chuck Palumbo, 285 lbs, Smackdown!
• Kane, 326 lbs, Smackdown!
• Mark Henry, 380 lbs, Smackdown!
• The Undertaker, 305 lbs, Smackdown!
• The Great Khali, 420 lbs, Smackdown!
• Big Daddy V, 485 lbs, ECW
• Snitsky, 307 lbs, RAW
• Shad, 285 lbs, RAW
• Umaga, 348 lbs, RAW

As you can see, only 4 of the 11 are not on Smackdown. Also, I heard a rumor today that Big Daddy V will move from ECW to Smackdown later this year. So really it's like 8 of 11 are from Smackdown. Amazing.

Now as for contenders, you can probably cross Chris Masters off the list because he is fairly small compared to the rest of these guys. You could cross Big Daddy V, Snitsky, Shad, and Umaga off the list just because they are on different brands. Big Daddy V will probably switch brands, and if they actually created this belt, I bet Snitsky would move from RAW to Smackdown in order to compete for this belt. Chuck Palumbo could probably be taken off the list too. He's fairly small too. Even if he was consider "just right", he'll probably make a run at the US Championship before anything else. I predict by the end of the year Chuck Palumbo will have won a championship.

But also this lets some other quality wrestlers go after the World Championship. Such as Finlay, Matt Hardy, Chuck Palumbo (yes, to me he is already on this list), Chavo, Rey Mysterio, Edge (upon his return), and Ric Flair. Wooooooo!

Most Underused WWE Stars (Part 1)

Now, by underused talent, I don't mean talent that's not being used. I mean talent that's not being used, and should be used.

1. Mr. Kennedy
   
   From my understanding, this is going to change in the near future, but at the time this is true. He is easily the most under-used superstar on the WWE roster. He has to be one of the best with the microphone since The Rock. Plus, it would be very easy to make him go from heel to face at any time.
   
   If I were writing the storyline, which I should be, I would be slapping the belt on Mr. Kennedy real soon. What I want to see is Mr. Kennedy winning the belt before Survivor Series. Winning it from Randy Orton. Just to repeat myself, I'll type it again. I want Randy Orton to take the belt from John Cena. Then I want Mr. Kennedy to take the belt away from Randy Orton between then and Survivor Series. At Survivor Series I want Mr. Kennedy vs. Triple H.
   
   Also, sometime before Mr. Kennedy is all washed up, I'd like to see Mr. Kennedy make a run as a face. I think his microphone skills give him a lot of potential in that area. Just picture this... Mr. Kennedy shouting his name before a match... Everyone in the arena... Is saying it with him. Maybe it's just me, but I think it's a good idea.
2. Mickie James
   
   She is arguably the best Diva on the WWE's roster, and by arguably I mean it's either her or Melina. She's not in the ring because she's hot, she's in the ring because she's good great.
   
   If I was writing the storyline, which again I'm not, I would have her go back to being psychotic. That was fun. Also, along with making her crazy, I would give the WWE Women's Championship back to her. She deserves it. I'd have her turn on Candice. Granted, that'd turn her into a heel, but nobody likes Candice... right? You could also not make her side with Melina. Right now the Diva's division seems like Team Melina (lead by Melina) vs. Team Candice (lead by Mickie James). That gets got old a long time ago.
   
   Another thing I'd do with her, ignore how that sounds, is I would let her win the IC Championship. As crazy as that is, I think with the right storyline, she could do it. It'd have to be some IC Championship open, and she'd have to pull a Hornswoggle, but I think it'd be OK.

ECW Thoughts

Best Match: CM Punk vs. John Morrison (15 Minutes of Fame)
Worst Match: Balls Mahoney vs. The Miz
Best Non-Wrestling Moment: CM Punk's/John Morrison's Interviews
Worst Non-Wrestling Moment: Kevin Thorn attacking Stevie Richards (but it's nice to know that Richards is charismatic. I wasn't sure if he was or not.)
Rating (out of 8): 6.3

Good Things

1. The Boogeyman's Squash Match/Big Daddy V attacking Boogey
   
   It is very rarely that you will hear me say that a squash match is good, but this one was. Matt Striker is also very good with the microphone. This looks like it is going to be a very good feud, that I could see even including a PPV match. I doubt the WWE Executives see it that way, but I do.
2. Elijah Burke vs. Tommy Dreamer
   
   This, even though I don't have much to say on it, was a very good match. I think that the Elijah Express should be used as a setup to an even bigger finisher though.
3. The Interviews
   
   I believe there were 3 of them, and they were all good. Stevie Richard's interview was even good until Kevin Thorn attacked him.

The Bad

1. Big Daddy V's Man Boobs
   
   Enough said. WWE... Put a shirt on him!
   
2. The Miz Talking/The Miz vs. Balls Mahoney
   
   1st off, I think we can all do without The Miz talking. 2nd off, Balls deserves better then to be jobbing to The Miz. Also, The Reality Check isn't a good finisher. I don't like it.

Well, there you have it. More good then bad ECW.

8/07 RAW Thoughts

Best Match: Battle Royal.
Worst Match: Snitsky vs. Rory Highlander (but it did serve the purpose of building up Snitsky... I still don't know why though).
Best Non-Wrestling Moment: The spoof of McMahon's death, and "The WWE Dating Game"
Worst Non-Wrestling Moment: All the speaking errors.
Rating (out of 8): 6.5

Good Things

1. Mr. McMahon's Return-
   
   Although some "experts" may say that Mr. McMahon return would be a bad thing (and I must say before last night I thought it would be too), but in reality it was a great thing.
   
   I especially liked that they kept Mr. McMahon out of the wrestling part. The only thing wrestling he was involved with was setting the Battle Royal up. But that seemed to mostly be random hatred of Coach... and who doesn't have that.
   
   The illegitimate child thing may be a little much, but it's better then the Lashley vs. McMahons and Umaga angle.
   
   I think a good idea for Mr. McMahon would be that if he wants to be involved in the story that they should have a Mr. and Mrs. McMahon separation and eventual divorce. They could divide the business between themselves. It would be hilarious. As long as it didn't take up too much time from the wrestling.
2. William Regal becoming GM-
   
   I thought this was great. I had read that this would happen a couple of weeks ago online, just I wasn't sure if it was really going to happen.
   
   Some would argue that The Sandman would have been a better general manager, and no doubt he would have been entertaining. He would have brought a Steve Austin feel to it. Unfortunately, I don't recall The Sandman ever having good microphone skills, and we do know Regal has them. That's why I think this is a good move.
3. The WWE Dating Game-
   
   I was on Yahoo Answers as I often am, answering questions during RAW, and it seemed everyone online hated The WWE Dating Game. Some saying it was a "new low" for the WWE. I think this is crazy. I loved it. I don't see what there wasn't to love about it. It made great use of puns. Absolutely hilarious.
   
   But I want to say that Santino becoming a heel went really fast. Also, his injury looked fake... even though it was real.
4. Cena/Umaga vs. Orton/Carlito Set for Next Week
   
   I think this will be a good match, but most importantly it set Umaga up as a face. I think the process of turning Umaga into a face will go smoothly and quickly, and ultimately go well.

Bad Things

1. Snitsky
   
   It wasn't Snitsky's match I thought was bad. No. It served its purpose. I just think the whole "Snitsky" idea needs to be rethought. Especially if they are going to give him a main event push eventually.
   
   However, if they aren't planning on giving him a main event push, he may be fine. That is, if they just want someone who could have matches as short as 2 minutes long, then he'd be great. Of course, you could also have 2 minute long matches with Cryme Tyme beating up 2 jobbers.
2. Jillian Hall vs. Mickie James
   
   The whole Jillian Hall singing thing was horrible. It always has been. What could have made it good would have been if Lillian right after Jillian started singing would have hit her in the back of the head with the microphone. Then Mickie James would have come to the ring and taken advantage of it. That would have been great.
   

Mr. McMahon, 2nd Deadman of the WWE?

Mr. McMahon, 2nd Deadman of the WWE?

Well, as I posted earlier this week, here, Mr. McMahon strikes again. But how? What is the story behind it going to be? Is he going to comeback from the car bomb, doubt it, but a source is now reporting that a writer for RAW is trying to bring Mr. McMahon back at the point from where he returns from the car bomb. Apparently the original idea was to have Linda McMahon framed for the murder.

It's obvious to every except to Brian Gewirtz, the writer who is pushing for this, that this is a bad idea. The McMahon death story line was extremely unpopular, especially with the internet wrestling community. It the WWE were to bring it back now, they would have to suffer through a tidal wave of angry bloggers and forum visitors. That's something I can't see the WWE wanting to go through.

Of course, what are their other options? Pretend it didn't happen? That won't work. WWE viewers are smarter then that.

If I were the WWE writing staff, I would keep it simple. No "McMahon raining on everyone's parades". I would maybe just have him make an announcement. Maybe bringing a GM to ECW? Probably not going to happen. Just saying. It would be a good idea.

Short Answer on Fixing WWE's Ratings

OK. So here is the problem. WWE has been having extremely (like ECW original extreme) low ratings. The set a new record for worst ratings Monday.

I think a lot of this problem has to do with Chris Benoit. I don't think many "casual" viewers were impressed with how the WWE handled the Chris Benoit situation. By that I mean they took no responsibility, and paid the price for it.


Now I'm not saying it is their fault, but I'm saying they should act like it is. I think that a different drug testing policy is in order. Along with harsher punishments for violating them. I think if the WWE were to issue a public statement saying they were changing their drug policy, it would go over very well.

ECW Results/Thoughts

ECW was good last night... really good. It was probably the best ECW the WWE has put out in quite a while.

Tuesday night started out with John Morrison coming to the ring to make another speech. He did a really cool "shush" thing into the microphone, but he sounded high. Not how he was talking, just what he was saying. His big announcement was that he was going to continue doing the 15 Minutes of Fame, an idea I kind of like. He also made fun of Paris Hilton in this announcement. I have to say, it was a few weeks too late.

Then Morrison's inferior opponent came to the ring. He looked really strange. Morrison had an official come to the ring, Morrison delivered a low blow, the bell rang, and then Morrison won with a Corkscrew Neckbreaker. That move is one of the cooler in the WWE today.

After Morrison finished off the jobber he went on to say htat nobody deserves to be in the same ring as him. Then Tommy Dreamer comes out and says he wants to be ECW champion more then anything. Elijah Burke also came to the ring to say he deserved a title shot. After all of that CM Punk decides he wants to play too and tells Morrison that if he can't last 15 minutes in the ring with him, then he will never challenge him again. Morrison then decides to have a triple threat match where the winner gets a 15 Minutes of Fame match with Morrison.

The next match was Stevie Richards vs. Kevin Thorn. Although Stevie Richards got a cheap win, it was a very good match. Mostly one sided, but very violent. And although I don't have much to say about it, it was very good.

Also on the Extreme Agenda was Big Daddy V (with Matt Striker) vs. 3 jobbers. Boring match. Extreme one sided. Violent at times, gross at other. It started out though with 3 bad headbuts by Big Daddy V, but eventually got a little better. After the match though the Boogeyman made a return to ECW, this time with a new look. They took all of the yellow paint out of his face. I think it makes him look like he's wearing a mast, but it's cool. Very... "Boogey"...

After Extreme Expose danced around, The Miz came out. He had a match against non-other then Balls Mahoney. Obviously the WWE writers have been reading this blog. Also, it was a very nice transition from the Extreme Expose dancers to the match. During this match there was an amazing Nutcracker Sweet. Amazing. Brilliant even. But then they just had to go screw it up with the end. The move The Miz used to finish off Balls wasn't very high impact at all. Also, why are they letting The Miz win this match? What are they going to do? Give him a main event push? They shouldn't.

What the WWE should do instead is give Balls a main event push. Recently WWE had a poll on there website asking who was the true face of Extreme. The answer, by far, Balls Mahoney. He had almost 80%. I think Tommy Dreamer was 2nd with less then 10%.

Finally, the main event was awesome. CM Punk vs. Tommy Dreamer vs. Elijah Burke. It was a great match. Burke did an awesome handstand. It was great.

Why HHH should not win the WWE Championship

OK. Here's the deal. All of the WWE rumors are saying that Randy Orton is going to win the WWE Championship from John Cena at SummerSlam. I'm OK with that. In fact, I think it should happen. The change needs to be made, because right now John Cena isn't as exciting as he used to be.

Rumors are from there that after HHH beats King Booker at SummerSlam, he's going to go on to beat Randy Orton for the WWE Championship, possibly at Unforgiven?

Wouldn't that be exciting? HHH to become the WWE Champion. Only one problem with that. It's boring, and kind of expected. Even without the help of the internet it's kind of expected.

What I think the WWE should do, is that they should build it up like The Game is going to win this match. Have The Game hit him around with his hammer to build up, and have Randy Orton hold it. Then after that, keep The Game in the title hunt. At all times. Then eventually push a Randy Orton (C) vs. Mr. Kennedy title match for a PPV or something. But at the last minute (not literally last minute...) have The Game do something for Coach like take out a wrestler who has been a pain, or have The Game threaten Coach to get into the title match. Something like that.

So at the last minute it will become a triple threat match. Triple H vs. Randy Orton (C) vs. Mr. Kennedy. I put Mr. Kennedy in this match because he has great microphone skills, and is getting better in the ring every week. Especially Kennedy vs. Lashley. That was great.

So then Triple H can win the title from there. It would be great!

I say this as a fan of wrestling though. From a business standpoint though, it's probably just better to let Triple H build up his speed, and then win the belt. But everyone, even those who don't read wrestling blogs, will have seen it coming.

Moves that I think the WWE should make...

First off, I want to say that Smack Down, even with Edge and Rey out, have enough talent there to make the Smack Down world go around.

When Rey comes back he's going to feud with Chavo. It'll be fun to watch Rey get his revenge. After that though. I don't see what else he can do on Smack Down. Win the Cruiserweight Championship? Nah, he's too good for that. World Heavyweight Championship? Not good enough for that. He is, however, good enough to win the ECW Championship. Since RVD isn't comming back apparently, I think this would be a good move.

How can the WWE fix ECW?

How can the WWE fix ECW?

ECW right now is no more then a sorry excuse for professional wrestling. I might as well be wasting my time watching TNA. Ha! Just kidding. ECW may not be any good right now, but I still have my sanity.

Making fun of TNA aside (even though it sucks), what can the WWE do to fix ECW? Well, good news for them. I have the answers.

First off, the WWE needs to realize that after July 24's ECW, ECW is almost completely beyond repair. Fortunately... I used the word "almost".

Another thing the WWE must realize is that people love Balls Mahoney. I don't know why, but even I like him. People love to chant his name, and people love to watch him wrestle. They also like to watch him win, but they love to watch him wrestle.

What the WWE should do is make sure that Balls is involved every week. But never in a squash match. I can honestly say that I do not know anybody who enjoys squas matches.

Right now, immediately, I think it would be a good idea to have Balls team up with the Boogeyman to go against Big Daddy V and Matt Striker. From there I could see him getting into a one on one feud with Matt Striker while the Boogeyman continues with Big Daddy V.

Another thing that needs to change is Big Daddy V. I don't know why he ever had a gimmick change, but it was not for the better. I think the WWE could keep Big Daddy V, they just need to change how he looks. Right now, when I look at him, he looks like a bigger Umaga. Only Umaga is just big. Big Daddy V is ugly. He needs to wear a shirt, and possible different pants. I don't know. Just right now, it is not a good visual. It's painful to look at him.

Moving away from Big Daddy V's man boobs, ECW stands for Extreme Championship Wrestling. Extreme. EXTREME! Right now it's really more Extremely Crappy Wrestling. They need to have more extreme rules matches. Now when I say there should be more extreme rules matches, I mean there should be more good extreme rules matches. The last extreme rules match was Tommy Dreamer vs. Johny Nitro. This was a lame match. It ended with Nitro tripping Dreamer into a chair, and then pinning him for the win. They WWE should add more extreme rules matches, just make them good extreme rules matches.

Next, the WWE needs to do something about The Miz. Maybe death by fire squad? No I'm kidding. He's not really that bad. But he talks to much. Way too much. And I have polled women, and I have not had one say that he should be considered a chick magnet. The most positive response I got was, "He'd be cute if he looked different". Enough said.

Now, Extreme Expose. Can these girls wrestle. If the answer is no, the WWE should release them, and hire Divas who can. If the answer is yes, then the WWE should let them wrestle. But wrestle who you ask? Each other. I can easily picture some sort of feud between the 3 girls over The Miz, except for The Miz part, but apparently he's all they got. After a few wrestling matches, there could be an ECW Womens championship. They could move a few more women to ECW, and it would be as if I'm watching actual wrestling. But will they still dance around you may be asking? Of course. It could be part of the backstage stuff. It'd be great.

John Morrison is a very poor speaker. They need to get him trained to speak, or just have him stop talking. Although I will say I like the idea of 15 minutes of fame, as long as he gets actual wrestlers in the match.

Finally, ECW needs a general manager. Maybe Coach could move from RAW and Regal could take over there. Or maybe Regal could move to ECW. Something needs to happen. This would also be a great chance for one of the McMahons to get back on WWE TV. One of them could stand in the center of an ECW ring at the start of a show, and announce the new GM. One of them, of course, couldn't take over the role full time. The public is not ready for that.

If the WWE were to add a Championship

What if... the WWE were to add a belt. Or even bring one back at that. What would you want it to be? Here are a few possibilities I could see happening. Not that the WWE would actually do one of these, but I could picture them in my mind. This belts would go on either RAW or SD! (sorry ECW: not enough talent). They also would probably have to replace a different title just because of lack of time.

-One would be to bring back the Hardcore Championship. This I feel would be fun. One of the problems with this though, would be that with it you would have to bring back Mick Foley. And I'm not speaking for Mick here, but I doubt that Mick Foley is going to make a full time return to wrestling. I will say I hope I'm wrong there. This would probably replace the intercontinental championship on RAW or the US championship on Smack Down. Another probably with this belt would be the fact that nobody is really "hardcore" in the WWE anymore. Even Tommy Dreamer isn't as hardcore as he once was. I can't really see this working, but I think it's an exciting thought.

-Another option I think would be fun would be a ladder match championship. I'm probably not the 1st person to have this idea, but I think it would be a good one. No, I will even say that this championship would be "epic". The problem, and this isn't a small one, is the wrestlers. Although yes, you would have plenty of wrestlers would could go after the title, it seems like there would be a lot of injuries involved in it. And it's not like the WWE can afford many more injuries to their roster. This one goes on the good list though, just because I think the crowd would be really into it. If put in place, I could picture it being put on RAW. I can't picture this on Smack Down.

-A "3 Person Inter-gender Championship". OK... That's a tough name. Maybe the "Inter-Gender Tag Team Championship". That one may mislead you to think there are only 2 members per tag team, but that would not be the case. There would be 3. Two men and one Diva. This is probably the most realistic idea I've had yet. I think it's a good one. It'd be great because this way you could keep together all of the tag teams the WWE has, and just throw in one of the Divas. The majority of the Diva's don't wrestle anyways. The rules for these matches? They could do 2 things. They could make it mixed, so the men would wrestle men and the women would wrestle women. Or they could make it inter-gender, everyone wrestles everyone. They could also just alternate the rules depending on the situation. I can see this replacing one of the Tag Team Championships on either show. Probably on RAW though because it doesn't seem like there is as many disposable Divas on Smack Down as on RAW. If this were to happen I could see something like London, Kendrick and Ashley facing up against Cade, Murdoch, and Julian possibly (for Contrasting personalities). When I originally had this idea it was a while so things would have worked better.
