RVD, McMahon, and Rosey

Here we go!!!
-Sources vary

Former WWE superstar Rob Van Dam will be on the Between the Ropes radio show tonight. The show airs from 10 PM-Midnight Eastern time on WQTM 740 The Team in Orlando, Florida. The show is streamed live online at BetweenTheRopes.com.

Vince McMahon was said to be irate at the fact that future plans for the illegitimate son were being leaked out over the Internet. Both he and his daughter Stephanie gave a lecture to the WWE creative team about it -- although they're more than likely not the people leaking the information out. McMahon was so paranoid about the identity of the son being revealed on the Internet beforehand that he didn't tell anyone who it was and flew in all active performers on the WWE roster to make sure that nobody could rule anyone out by process of elimination. Mr. Kennedy was backstage at Monday's show for this reason. They're also being very tight-lipped about where the storyline goes from here, which also suggests that Hornswaggle as the child isn't the end of it.

Matt "Rosey" Anoa'i is currently training in Ohio Valley Wrestling. The feeling is he'll be offered his job with WWE back.

Who is Mr. McMahon's Child Part 3: Things are Looking Up

Ugh! I know. Part 3?! But it must be done.

So our clue of the week is "Things are looking up". Well. What the heck does that mean? Here are our suspects.

  • A dead wrestler? More then likely, no. When I say this I mean an Eddie Guerrero, not a Chris Benoit. This probably won't happen, but it makes sense with the "looking up" clue. Like looking up into heaven. Also, this doesn't go along with Stephanie saying that the illegitimate child is standing outside the ring.
  • Snitsky? So tall you have to "look up" to see him. Lets hope not.
  • Mr. Kennedy? When they say things are "looking up" (that's right, I'm putting "looking up" in quotes... whacha gonna do about it?) they could be referring to his microphone coming from the ceiling. But then again, BLOOD TESTS DON'T LIE!
  • Hornswoggle? He has to "look up" at everyone. Maybe?
  • Rey Mysterio? Same reasons as Hornswoggle, but this "bastard son" needs to be a heel.
  • Elijah Burke? Possible... His 4 up could tie in with the "looking up'. Maybe. Of course that would mean more McMahon on ECW and that didn't go well the 1st time.
  • Val Venis? This are "looking up"? Val Venis being the adult film star. I won't go into detail about what is looking up.
  • or This is all just some joke by Triple H? I don't know, but someone mentioned it on some forum I read and I thought it was possible.
I also want to add in, this is kind of cool. Nobody knows who Mr. McMahon's child is. Mr. McMahon in real life might not even know. None of the rumor websites know, so its possible the WWE doesn't even know. This is kind of cool.

Who is Mr McMahon's Illegitimate Child Pt. 2

That's right! I said it! Part 2. Who is Mr. McMahon's illegitimate child?

Well, in case you have not heard the huge updates, Mr. Kennedy is NOT Mr. McMahon's Bastard Son! Isn't that fun? Especially when it is in bold. Let me rephrase that in bold again. Mr. McMahon's son is NOT Mr. Kennedy! See... Fun! This is all because Mr. Kennedy got suspended. So his whole deal as Mr. McMahon's son got dropped.

So we now need a whole new list of suspects. I'm not going to waste any energy saying it might be someone from Smackdown or ECW so here we go.

Triple H? Nah, probably not. That would imply that Stephanie McMahon's child was the result of incest, or is it step-incest, and I don't think that the WWE would want to go down that path, especially with all the bad press they are getting.

Shane McMahon? OK, so I am wasting energy being stupid, but so is the WWE... most of the time. Just play along for a second. We find out that Shane McMahon is adopted, but we also find out that the father is Vince McMahon. Eh, I'm mostly just writing this to make this article look longer then it really is.

Randy Orton? The Legend Killer? Legend Killer McMahon? Could it be? Is it possible? Am I asking to many questions? This one makes sense. Except if this happened, they would have to involve Cowboy Bob Orton. Who was released in 2006. If they went this way, and didn't use Cowboy Bob Orton it would be a mistake.

John Cena? His father is already involved in the storyline. It would be kind of neat. Except, that would mean even more John Cena, and we can't have that.

Jeff Hardy? At this point I am just naming names, but this isn't 100% crap. Mostly just around 83% crap.

Shawn Michaels? Well, this isn't going to happen, but I bet once the WWE decided not to let Mr. Kennedy be Mr. McMahon's father this name came up. The Undertaker didn't return at SummerSlam because the WWE currently wants to present the image of having an easy schedule. But recently HBK was apparently asked to come back a little early. Interesting.

Chris Jericho? Again with me naming names. This could be why the WWE has been talking to his agent though.

Shelton Benjamin? Let's hope not. Although still, perfectly possible.

(Let me pretend that this superstar can be on any brand for a moment or 2)

MVP? I think this is the only one on Smackdown it could possibly be.

Elijah Burke? Possible... not probable.

Alright, my guess is... ugh... John Cena... of course. If this happens, Cena will have to make a heel turn, or else it will make no sense.

Smackdown Thoughts

Here we go...

Best Match: Ugh... Nobel vs Jimmy Wang Yang
Worst Match: Mark Henry vs. Jobber
Best Non-Wrestling Moment: The Greasers attacking Matt Hardy and MVP
Rating (out of 8): 6.7

When I look at this Smackdown, I didn't see too much good wrestling. It did however keep me entertained.

The Good

  1. Opening Segment

Fairly standard opening segment. Kane's Pyro seemed to scare the hell out of people. Scared the hell out of me. Is Chuck Palumbo going to be doing Mr. McMahon's bidding? Because I thought they were bringing him in as a face, but he seemed to be doing Mr. McMahon's bidding.
  2. Chavo vs. What's His Face

Good match. Great for setting up for SummerSlam. I don't see the point with the whole cruiserweight division. Especially if Chavo (and soon Rey) just plows over everyone. What's the point?
  3. Noble vs. JYW

Good match. A lot of cool jumps going on here. Not much to say though.
  4. Hardy and MVP Segments

I like the idea of making them go for Tag-Team Gold.
  5. Batista vs. Finlay

Even though Khali's interference was expected and predictable, it was well executed. Very nice.
The Bad
  1. There was no Great Matches

No Great Matches tonight on SD. Only good and bad.
  2. Mark Henry vs. Jobber

Didn't see this one coming. Ha!
  3. Victoria's Dancing
  4. Mae Young

AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! MY EYES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY BURN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP ME LORD! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Who is Mr. McMahon's Illegitimate Child?

Who is Mr. McMahon's Illegitimate Child?

I am personally shocked to see this storyline. Shocked!!! When I heard of the return of the Mr. McMahon, I was expecting it to be kept simple. I was not even sort of expecting Mr. McMahon to play a part in the story. But them giving him an illegitimate child?! Never would have seen that coming. But I like it.

The only question now is... who is the kid? But I've got a better question. Who's the mother? I'll answer the kid question first, then the mother question 2nd.

There are only really 4 possibilities for this, and 2 of them shouldn't ever happen.

  1. Mr. Kennedy. We all knew he was going to play a part in the Mr. McMahon death storyline, but since that was dropped (for the most part) this would be a great place to fit him in.

This could eventually lead into Shane McMahon getting jealous of Mr. Kennedy. Even eventually lead to a match at SummerSlam, Survivor Series, or some other PPV.
  2. Another possibility is Triple H. The Game. I bet you this came up in discussion at the WWE, but Stephanie McMahon probably blocked it. This is one of the 2 that shouldn't ever happen.
  3. The other possibility that shouldn't ever happen, is Mr. McMahon being the father of his own grand-daughter, The Game and Stephanie McMahon's child that is. This one, if discussed, wouldn't have happen due to Stephanie McMahon blocking it. I put this as a possibility because on the McMahon DVD she says she had to block an angle where Mr. McMahon was the father of her child. Then she had to block another where Shane McMahon was the father.
  4. A 4th possibility is that the child isn't a wrestler. Maybe the child is still a child. This seems improbable because there doesn't seem like there would be much of a storyline to go with that, but just the opposite. The mother of this illegitimate child could be a WWE Diva. Or, the storyline could focus on Vince and Linda. Is this the McMahon divorce storyline we've been waiting for all these years?
Now onto the mother. Don't worry, I'm not planning on making a list for this one.

As stated earlier, the child's mother could be a WWE Diva. This I think may be good. Especially if they manage to bring back a former diva like Trish Stratus to play the role of the mother. Now, nobody get excited though. I've been on all the WWE gossip sites, and the forums, and from my understanding Trish Stratus got offered her old job back and turned it down. So don't expect this to happen with Trish or any other former Diva. It was just an idea.

Who is Mr. McMahon's Child?

This is a poll. To vote go to the right. My vote is Mr. Kennedy.

8/07 RAW Thoughts

Best Match: Battle Royal.
Worst Match:
Snitsky vs. Rory Highlander (but it did serve the purpose of building up Snitsky... I still don't know why though).
Best Non-Wrestling Moment: The spoof of McMahon's death, and "The WWE Dating Game"
Worst Non-Wrestling Moment: All the speaking errors.
Rating (out of 8): 6.5

Good Things

  1. Mr. McMahon's Return-

Although some "experts" may say that Mr. McMahon return would be a bad thing (and I must say before last night I thought it would be too), but in reality it was a great thing.

I especially liked that they kept Mr. McMahon out of the wrestling part. The only thing wrestling he was involved with was setting the Battle Royal up. But that seemed to mostly be random hatred of Coach... and who doesn't have that.

The illegitimate child thing may be a little much, but it's better then the Lashley vs. McMahons and Umaga angle.

I think a good idea for Mr. McMahon would be that if he wants to be involved in the story that they should have a Mr. and Mrs. McMahon separation and eventual divorce. They could divide the business between themselves. It would be hilarious. As long as it didn't take up too much time from the wrestling.
  2. William Regal becoming GM-

I thought this was great. I had read that this would happen a couple of weeks ago online, just I wasn't sure if it was really going to happen.

Some would argue that The Sandman would have been a better general manager, and no doubt he would have been entertaining. He would have brought a Steve Austin feel to it. Unfortunately, I don't recall The Sandman ever having good microphone skills, and we do know Regal has them. That's why I think this is a good move.
  3. The WWE Dating Game-

I was on Yahoo Answers as I often am, answering questions during RAW, and it seemed everyone online hated The WWE Dating Game. Some saying it was a "new low" for the WWE. I think this is crazy. I loved it. I don't see what there wasn't to love about it. It made great use of puns. Absolutely hilarious.

But I want to say that Santino becoming a heel went really fast. Also, his injury looked fake... even though it was real.
  4. Cena/Umaga vs. Orton/Carlito Set for Next Week

I think this will be a good match, but most importantly it set Umaga up as a face. I think the process of turning Umaga into a face will go smoothly and quickly, and ultimately go well.
Bad Things
    1. Snitsky

It wasn't Snitsky's match I thought was bad. No. It served its purpose. I just think the whole "Snitsky" idea needs to be rethought. Especially if they are going to give him a main event push eventually.

However, if they aren't planning on giving him a main event push, he may be fine. That is, if they just want someone who could have matches as short as 2 minutes long, then he'd be great. Of course, you could also have 2 minute long matches with Cryme Tyme beating up 2 jobbers.
    2. Jillian Hall vs. Mickie James

The whole Jillian Hall singing thing was horrible. It always has been. What could have made it good would have been if Lillian right after Jillian started singing would have hit her in the back of the head with the microphone. Then Mickie James would have come to the ring and taken advantage of it. That would have been great.

Last Minute Raw Preview

Well, it seems like the McMahon death angle will continue tonight. They have a large stage setup behind the arena. Stephanie McMahon might also be used tonight. Of course, she would be there anyways, but there have been rumors about her being involved tonight. Also, expect Mr. Kennedy to get a lot of attention tonight.

Carlito's Cabana is also supposed to happen.

RAW Predictions/Rumors

Well, here are some of the rumors just so everyone knows.

-Mr. McMahon returns from the limo explosion, and Lina McMahon is framed for the murder. Mr. Kennedy then gets some sort of nudge from Mr. McMahon.

-Mr. McMahon makes a huge announcement. That he is ending the brand extension. The idea has come up in some of their meetings.

-Mr. McMahon decides to come back and "fire" some one.

All those are not that good of ideas.

Mr. McMahon, 2nd Deadman of the WWE?

Mr. McMahon, 2nd Deadman of the WWE?

Well, as I posted earlier this week, here, Mr. McMahon strikes again. But how? What is the story behind it going to be? Is he going to comeback from the car bomb, doubt it, but a source is now reporting that a writer for RAW is trying to bring Mr. McMahon back at the point from where he returns from the car bomb. Apparently the original idea was to have Linda McMahon framed for the murder.

It's obvious to every except to Brian Gewirtz, the writer who is pushing for this, that this is a bad idea. The McMahon death story line was extremely unpopular, especially with the internet wrestling community. It the WWE were to bring it back now, they would have to suffer through a tidal wave of angry bloggers and forum visitors. That's something I can't see the WWE wanting to go through.

Of course, what are their other options? Pretend it didn't happen? That won't work. WWE viewers are smarter then that.

If I were the WWE writing staff, I would keep it simple. No "McMahon raining on everyone's parades". I would maybe just have him make an announcement. Maybe bringing a GM to ECW? Probably not going to happen. Just saying. It would be a good idea.

The Return of Vince...

Source: WWE.com

This Monday night, live on Raw at 9/8 CT on USA Network, Mr. McMahon strikes back.

Also, when Raw went off the air last week, an infuriated WWE Champion John Cena was wiping apple and spit off his face and staring lasers into Carlito, who thanks to Randy Orton, got a pinfall victory over The Champ. The Caribbean Superstar, who had argued that he deserved to be the No. 1 contender to the WWE Championship, now seems to have further ammunition to his claim. But, will he have to feel the wrath of Cena, who could look for revenge for his humiliating defeat?

Will Cena have something in mind for Orton, who has taken pleasure in sending messages to the champion in the weeks before their SummerSlam showdown? Last week, Orton added another legend to his casualty list when he took Sgt. Slaughter to boot camp and hospitalized him with a punt to his cranium. What is Sarge’s medical update? And will yet another legend challenge Orton?

Another Superstar who made a powerful statement was Mr. Kennedy, who also wants to be recognized as the No. 1 contender to the WWE Championship. Kennedy did the nearly-impossible – put Bobby Lashley on the sidelines with a shoulder injury. How much will the loudmouth from Green Bay, Wis., boast about his latest conquest? And what is Lashley’s condition?

You can find out the answers to these questions and more by tuning in to Raw on Monday night at 9/8 CT on USA Network.

Well... That should boost ratings a little.
